Long time listener, first time poster. Well, there was that gay ass question I asked about the mail, but that doesn't count because of the gay assery of it.

I just started listening to the show, from episode 3. I'm now on episode 27 and I'm looking forward to getting caught up. Anyway, episode 25 sucked donkey balls, because a)Bri quit the show and b)the entire podcast, every time he talks, there's no cunting sound! About 10 minutes into the episode I give up because of the long silences whenever Bri talks. But then in the next episode Jay drops the fucking bomb that "in case you missed last week's show, Bri quit." Wha? So I go back and spend an hour listening to periods of nothing hoping to find out why, praying that they get over the technical shit before the announcement. Nope, no such luck.

So why did Bri quit the show?

Thanks for listening and joining the forums.  I'd try downloading the episode again.  I accidentally made it a .mov file, but i just went back and listened and i can hear Bri fine.  since it's and weird format you might have to play that episode in a different player to get it to work.  I played it in ITunes and it worked OK.

Basically, and Bri correct me if I'm wrong, but we were just going in different directions.  I wanted to take the show to the next level while at the same time Bri was getting sick of doing the show.

I'm always interested in this question:  Where did you find out about the show?

You went through all that for lil' ol' me? Shucks. You take your non-paying customer service seriously!

I found you guys because I was looking for something to help with my 1.5 hour a day commute and terrestrial radio is awful. I've only found one other podcast worth listening to, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. Problem is, he only puts out once a month. I wanted something that came out more often, and preferably with a large archive so it would be a while before I had to wait for something new. Oh, and it had to not be completely terrible, that was the tricky part. From my sampling, 99.9% of podcasts are shite. Brink of Sanity seemed to be what I was looking for, except the early episodes were completely terrible. But I hung in there and now I'm a big fan. Actually, unless there's a new Hardcore History, I listen to you guys for my entire drive, which means 1.5 hours a day every day.

Yup, that's the benefit of listening to the B.O.S.S. you get 100% dedication to the listeners.  I agree with the 99% of shows are bad party, but what made you stick through the shit episodes, and when did it not become shit?  Also, did you get episode #25 to work?  I don't want something out there that's not going to work for most people.

Jay is pretty much right. Basically my heart wasn't as into it as much as Jay's was, and I felt like I was inadvertently holding the show back. I definitely like my new role as a monthly rotation guest.

Hey guys.

Bri: No man, Negator was good. I'm glad you're back, but I probably won't find that out for 6 or 7 months.

Jay: I haven't checked out the new episode 25, I'll let you know when I do. On the other hand, meh, now that I know the reason I don't care so much. Maybe if it was something dramatic like he was going to jail or something I'd be more inclined.

I stuck with it through the early caca because, well, I needed something that would occupy a lot of time. I knew your episodes were an hour or more, plus there were a lot of them. I think at the time I looked I saw the ratings were good on podcast alley, so I was pretty sure it was going to pick up eventually. And it did, pretty quickly too. I think some of the early conversation was just too juvenile without being funny. You ever listen to a couple of high school kids brag about how wasted they got? And you want to punch them in the anus? Even though we all talked like that when we were that age? That's sort of what it was like, a bunch of dummies not being funny. And the audio was atrocious. Any time there was a 3rd person, forget it, you couldn't hear shit.

Anyway, the show picked up relatively early, and the audio seems to be worked out too, episode 25 notwithstanding. Now the conversations aren't awkward, the laffs are quality and even the drunken stories are good because it's more than just "man, I got so wasted". Like today, I just listened to buddy talk about the chick who walked in a blizzard to give a beej. That was some funny shit... That guy was good, you should have him on more. Fucked up accent and all. Leon is good too, and so is the chick that 's on with him, mostly because she isn't talking all the time and when she does, she says guy stuff.
